As I attended several Celebrations of life this year, I am feeling even more driven to make a difference, in even just a small way. I hope that you will support the amazing authors who have already committed to joining me in this venture.

After years of saying that “one day I feel I need to share my story,” an opportunity presented itself to allow me to do this with others. We are not an island, and we need community, and this chance to write a collaborative book featuring 15 -20 courageous women, was something I just could not ignore.

8 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer I underwent a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation. What I did find throughout my journey was that being able to spend time doing things you love, embracing each day and looking at the positive helped me get through the surgery and treatments. While I tend to be a very private person, I have found over the years that I am inspired to share my story and definitely relate to those people who also have gone through a similar experience. Each of us will have a silver lining that came as a result of this diagnosis and how we chose to deal with it.

The Silver Lining of Cancer

I want to share this unique opportunity to be part of something that will changes live and provide hope to those who have received a cancer diagnosis and who are in various stages of treatment or moving onto their life after cancer, or have a family member impacted by this disease. So, I am bringing together women, who have a story to share about how they found the Silver Lining of Cancer, and are ready to release it to the world, and positively impact others.

My personal intention for writing and creating this collaborative, inspirational book is to positively impact the lives of people who have been diagnosed with cancer, and their families, in some small way. If even for a moment they can go to that place of hope, believe that a positive outcome is possible, and maybe even find a way to smile, then we will have made a difference. My goal is to get The Silver Lining of Cancer into support centres & treatment waiting rooms around the world, so that when a person picks up the book, it will be exactly what they need to hear at that moment.
